The consumer product safety commission and Samsung are urging owners of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to stop charging or using the phone while they formalize how a recall will work.
The warning came after some customers reported that their Galaxy Note 7s caught fire.
The agency believe it to be a battery problem which affect 0.1% of device and urges users to power them down for the meantime.
The president of Samsung electronic America, Tim Baxter said 'the company is collaborating with CPSC & its carrier partners to ensure all Galaxy note 7 users are alerted.
Meanwhile, Samsung based in North Korea has been offering customers a different phone, the Galaxy S7 ,Galaxy S7edge and a $25gift cards.
