Fire claims mother and 2 kids in Sokoto

On Saturday september 10 at about 4:00am ,an early morning fire  claimed the lives of a
42 year old mother and two of her kids in Sokoto at old Airport area of the state.

The inferno was blamed on electronical fault while a generating set was being powered.

The deceased identified as Mrs Blessing Arigi Osakwe, her husband and two older children earlier escaped from the house.
However, realizing that two of her younger children were trapped in the house, mrs Osakwe went back into the house to rescue her kids.
An eye witness said, " Neighbors later took the victims  to Usmanu Danfodiyo university teaching hospital where the little children were confirmed dead but the mother was taken to the intensive care unit  but died 24 hours later.
